Kari Hatt named Executive Director at Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce
Effective March 1, the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC), Board of Directors, are pleased to announce the hiring of Kari Hatt as the Executive Director. “We are excited to recruit someone with Kari’s experience and talent. She has an understanding of what it takes to be successful and is extremely passionate about our community,” said Bret Hamlin, SACC President. “The Chamber is committed to providing support for its members, assisting in community development and promoting a great quality of life for the Sturgis Area.”
“I am so delighted to bring my focus back to my own community where my family and friends live, grow and thrive,” said Hatt. “Having the opportunity to connect with businesses and community members on a new level excites and energizes me.”
Hatt moved to Sturgis nearly 30 years ago and graduated from Sturgis High School in 2001. She received a B.A. degree in marketing from Central Michigan University In 2005. For the past 12 years she has been a partner at Culture by Choice helping many organizations across the country develop intentional cultures through improving their communication and leadership skills. Hatt worked at the SACC several years as the Executive Assistant and has served recently as Vice President on the SACC Board of Directors.
Hatt lives in Sturgis with her husband Andy and their three children.
